This is done through, but not limited to: member businesses sharing resources (i.e. merchandise, services, customers, ideas, etc.) in a cooperative effort with each other; using each others' businesses as customers, procuring goods and/or services, with member-to-member offers; providing business support thru strategic partnerships as "one group entity" and getting "bulk discount rates" usually reserved for a group  (i.e. workshops; group services, etc.).
